FROM ROME… TO LISBON
The Famiglia Nannarella project was born in Rome as the dream of Costanza to value the homemade and local food alongside the Italian gastronomic traditions through a venture based on the principles of quality and close human relationships.
The Famiglia was founded in 2013, with gelateria Nannarella, a traditional Italian gelateria with its own production located in central Lisbon, right next door to São Bento Palace.

A neighbourhood gelateria, featuring a selection of the classical Italian gelato flavours alongside specialities inspired on the regional gastronomic traditions of Italy and Portugal, produced through household production processes and carefully selected national ingredients.
The opening of gelateria Nannarella triggered a minor revolution in the artisan gelato market in Lisbon and especially in São Bento's neighbourhood.
2016 saw the beginning of the collaboration with El Corte Inglés that led to Gelateria Nannarella marking its presence in the Lisbon Gourmet Experience alongside the best chefs in the country. This expanded to include the sale of single flavour boxes in freezer display cases in three El Corte Inglés SuperCORE outlets in Lisbon, Restelo and Parque das Nações and in addition to an enormous gelato kiosk on the seventh floor of El Corte Inglés in Lisbon.
Through its gelato vans, Nannarella also heads out into the streets of Lisbon and collaborates with restaurants and hotels with pop-up points of sale and public and private events, festivals, and weddings.
Today, Nannarella stands out as a benchmark reference gelato in Portugal that, while retaining the essence of a neighbourhood gelateria, genuine and close to people, intends to pursue a growth model that gives priority to quality. Quality in the products and services provided, as well as quality in the work and the environment.
In accordance with this model and with the objective of sharing its "segretos" and experiences, Nannarella provides Consultancy and Training services for future gelato artisans that wish to attain the same quality standards.
The Famiglia Nannarella provides a complete experience of Italian gastronomy and culture, in a typically Lisbon environment.
Quality is not only synonymous of genuineness, artisan and production, but also professionalism, responsibility and continuous search for improvement.
